WordPad is a built-in application with the Windows operating system. This word processing software is more advanced than the basic Notepad program, but doesn’t have many of the features included with Microsoft Word: spell check, support for tables and graphs and a thesaurus, for example. In a nutshell, WordPad is good for writing simple letters and papers that don’t require complicated formatting. If this application was deleted from your hard drive, you can download it from the web and reinstall it for free. Click the link provided in References, scroll down the web page and click the WordPad icon at the bottom. Click “Save” in the confirmation pop-up window, select a destination folder for the setup file on your computer and click “Save” again. Double-click the saved setup file.
