Service Pack 2 is the second update for the Windows XP operating system. It includes improvements to security including memory and network protection, plus updated drivers and updates to Internet Explorer and Outlook Express. Service Pack 2 is not only free, it is essential for your computer’s performance. You can download and install this update yourself. Verify that you do not have Service Pack 2 installed already by clicking the Windows “Start” button and right-clicking “My Computer.” Scroll down the pop-up menu and click “Properties” to launch the System Properties dialog box.
