You can add software to expand the functions on the HP iPAQ. Here’s how. Download and install the ActiveSync software from the Microsoft Web site (see Resources below) onto your personal computer or the device that you will use to load software onto your HP iPAQ. Make sure that your HP iPAQ has enough memory to support the new software applications. Check the available memory against the amount the software requires. Without sufficient memory, your handheld device will not run properly. Connect the HP iPAQ to your personal computer or laptop. You can do this either through a USB cord or with a docking device. Allow the “Setup Wizard” to lead you through the process of detecting and installing your handheld device.
