Apple iTunes was introduced in 2001 to provide a music download interface for iPod owners. The program has grown tremendously since and is now used for a variety of applications. In addition to iPod and iPhone synchronization, iTunes can be used as a stand-alone music player and database on your Mac or PC. Visit the Apple iTunes website by going to iTunes.com. Click on “Download iTunes” and choose your operating system. Enter your email address and click “Download Now.” Click “Save File” at the prompt and wait for iTunes setup to download. Double-click on the installation file when the download is finished. Click “Next” and choose your installation preferences. Wait for the iTunes program to finish installing.
