Downloading music from CDs to your computer is commonly known as “ripping” or “importing.” To rip or import a CD, you’ll need an audio program capable of doing it. Windows Media Player and Apple iTunes are the most popular products and they’re both free. If you don’t have either, you’ll need to download one of them before beginning.
