Windows XP themes change the appearance of your system and make it more colorful and exciting. Themes consist of background images, icons, and different sounds. They come in a variety of style and genres including comics, abstract, movies and music. Although Windows XP comes with a variety of default themes, you can download free themes and change your system’s look if you are looking for something different. Go to a free theme downloading website such as themexp.org, xpthemes.com, or systemtheme.com (see Resources) . Select the theme that you want to download and click “Download.” When prompted, click “Save” and select the folder that you want to save the theme to on your computer.
