How Do You Download Files Through A Firewall In Internet Explorer?
A firewall, essentially, is an invisible wall your computer creates around the system to protect it from outside threats such as viruses and malware. However, occasionally the firewall can block you from downloading content to your computer. If you are unable to download content you can correct the problem by adjusting your computer system’s firewall settings. Open your Web browser and navigate to the site you want to download content from. Click the “Download” link. If a small text menu appears on the top of your browser click it, then choose “Allow downloads from this site.” Click “Download” again and the item downloads. Click the “Start” button followed by “Control Panel” if no text menu appears. Select “System Firewall” in the Control Panel window. Set your firewall to “On, with exceptions.” Click the “Exceptions” tab at the top of the screen, then type in the website you are attempting to download from.
