Document-based questions, or DBQs, are essential assessment tools in the discipline of world history, forcing students to read primary sources critically. DBQs use a range of such sources and ask students to draw and defend conclusions based on those documents. A good history textbook will have strong online DBQs, but other resources are available if you are working exclusively online. Purchase a world history textbook from a reputable publisher. An older edition is usually adequate, and used copies are cheaper.
