Occasionally, when you are using the Microsoft Outlook Express email browser, attachments will be restricted and Outlook Express will not download them along with emails. When this occurs, it is because Outlook Express has determined the attachments are unsafe and may pose a threat to your computer. If you are certain the attachment is safe and you wish to download it, you must change the settings within Outlook Express before the attachments will download. Open the Outlook Express browser. Click the “Tools” tab and then select “Options.” Select the “Security” tab and find the option that says “Do not allow attachments to be saved…” and remove the check mark beside this option. The default setting is to have this option enabled. Place a check mark under “Virus Protection” to indicate you will trust whatever virus protection software you are using. Click “OK” to finish changing the attachment settings.
