After the devastating earthquake in Haiti, and while rescuers scramble to unearth and rescue victims, we can all do a small part to help these innocent victims. Americares.org – Very Simple to donate. There is a notice in the top left corner that says, in red, “Donate Here”. AmeriCares has already committed $5 million in relief aid. American Red Cross – Send a $10 Donation by Texting ‘Haiti’ to 90999. You can also make a donation by calling 1-800-REDCROSS or 1-800-257-7575 (Spanish) or click on the Donate Now button. The Red Cross has raised $2 million already as of 1/14/10. Mercycorps.org – again, very easy to do. Right at the tip of the page you will see the message regarding the Earthquake. There is a red box that says “Give Now”. You can make payments via PayPal, Google Checkout or Amazon Payments. Unicef.org – At the top left of the screen are big red letters “Donate Now”. Payment should be in the form of a charge card.
