A job interview can make or break your chance at getting hired. There are some things you can do however, that will help improve your chances and help you come across as an intelligent well thought out applicant. When entering the interview, always smile. This will show the employer you want to be there and will start the interview off with a positive vibe. Body language is very important. Always sit up straight and make eye contact when speaking to your employer. Slouching and staring at the ground show a lack of self esteem and low self confidence. Speak clearly and slowly. Don’t rush though your words. When asked a question, think before you talk. This way your answers will be more thorough and planned. Also, don’t be afraid to ask questions. If you are unclear about a job requirement or something the employer has said, ask them to explain further. This will also show that you are willing to learn and care about when is being said.
