0

Ankle injuries can be tough to recover from. Every time you take a step there is some pressure put on the ankle, no matter how you try to limit it. Here are some toe-raising exercises you can practice which will strengthen your ankles and improve your results during the course of physical therapy. Find a comfortable seat in a chair that allows you to sit up straight. Skip the recliner and think more along the lines of the kitchen table chair or an office chair. Sit in the chair so that your posture is correct and that your feet are resting comfortably on the ground. You can perform these physical therapy toe raises for the ankles with or without shoes. Raise your heels so that your foot is resting merely on the balls of your feet. Hold this position for 5 seconds. Lower your feet so that they are again flat. Lift your toes so that you raise your toes off the ground. Hold this position for 5 seconds and then return your feet so that they are flat on the ground. Repeat 3 times with each
