The yoga Boat pose is a gentle balance pose that works to strengthen the entire body, particularly the deep core muscles along the spine and abdomen. The Boat pose is also a great partnering pose, as two yogis can enter the pose together, helping to deepen concentration and perfect the asana. Sit on the floor with your partner and face each other. Both of you should have your knees bent slightly with your feet flat on the floor and your toes touching your partners toes. Hold the end of a yoga strap loosely in each hand as your partner holds the opposite end. Inhale together deeply and as you exhale, lean back slightly and lift your feet off of the floor. Straighten the legs, pressing the bottoms of your feet against the bottoms of your partner’s feet so that your two bodies together form the shape of a “W.” Keep your spine straight as you lean back slightly and slowly inch your hands up the yoga strap, pulling it taut between the two of you. Your arms should be extended fully and held
