The highland fling dance was inspired by the ancient custom of a victory dance after battle. Warriors and clansmen used to demonstrate their stamina and agility with its agile steps and technique. The fling is not for the faint hearted and takes much stamina and skill to perform it right. Stretch and warm up your muscles before you begin.
