How Do You Do The Lone Ranger Step In Tap Dancing?
If you’re a little long in the tooth, then you’ll definitely remember The Lone Ranger, Tonto, Silver and the theme music for the television show. Learn how to do the Lone Ranger step (also called the Alamo) in tap dancing. The step requires that the dancer make 22 sounds (22 taps). The count is “and a1 and a2 and a3 and 4 and a5 and a6 and a7 and a8.” Shuffle step (brush forward and back, and step down) on your right foot, then on your left foot, and once again on your right foot to the count of “and a1 and a2 and a3.” Ball change (step, step, left, right) on the count of “and 4.” Shuffle step on your left foot, then on your right, and once again on your left to the count of “and a5 and a6 and a7.” Scuff your right foot forward, swiping the heel against the floor. Then chug on your left foot (slide the ball of your left foot forward and drop your heel sharply) on the count of “and a8.” Repeat The Lone Ranger step starting on the left foot. Remember the steps: shuffle step (three times)
