How Do You Do Plie Squat Exercises?
Squats are a great exercise for strengthening and toning your leg and gluteal muscles, and as such, they’re a great exercise to incorporate into your workout in the weeks and months before bathing suit season. To change up your routine and to tone a slightly different group of muscles, consider doing some plie squats in lieu of, or in addition to, to your regular body conditioning exercises. Stand with your feet in a wide stance and point your toes outward; your knees should be in line with your toes. Keep your spine in a neutral position, your chin up and your hips pulled in. Place your hands on your waist or rest them down at your sides. For extra impact, hold barbells. If you choose to hold weights, you can also rest the weights on the tops of your thighs to add even more weight and impact to the exercise.
