How Do You Do “Person On The Street” Interviews For A Newspaper?
Perhaps you’ve seen those “person on the street” or “inquiring photographer” features in your local newspaper. Somebody has to go out and find people willing to spout off and be photographed and it’s not easy. If your newspaper lacks this feature, perhaps you could follow these steps and then offer your services. Dress neatly, but casually. You want to look professional, but not intimidating. Go somewhere with a lot of foot traffic. Malls and grocery stores are an obvious choice, but if you do this on a regular basis, mix things up so you avoid seeing the same people. You can also find plenty of people at recreational trails, schools, and sporting events.
