How Do You Do Mixed Media Art Journaling?

0

Mixed media art journaling is edgy, hip and just plain cool. It is a mix of journaling and art with no rules or boundaries. Mixed media art journaling offers an opportunity for endless creativity with absolutely no limits. It is pouring out your soul onto the canvas and showing pieces of yourself. Prep the canvas with gesso if you plan on painting on it. Gesso is a primer medium that gives the canvas a texture making it easier for the paint to cover the canvas. If you plan to color the canvas with stamp pad inks, there is no need to bother with the gesso. Use a make up sponge to apply the ink. Press the sponge onto the stamp pad and dab on a scrap piece of paper to get rid of any excess ink. Use a back and forth motion to color the canvas until you are satisfied with the results. Save ticket stubs, receipts, coffee sleeves from your favorite coffee place, or anything that catches your eye and glue those bits of memorabilia to the canvas. For three dimensional objects, use super glue. T
