How Do You Do Kneeling Abdominal Stretches?
Abdominal muscles are very often exercised, but rarely stretched. Prior to a strenuous workout, some basic stretches of your abdomen can do wonders to avoid painful pulls or strains. Kneel on the floor, keeping your hips even. Place your hands on the back of your hips, anchoring your palms against your lower back and your fingers pointing down towards the floor. Gently lean your trunk back, until you feel a light stretch in your abdominal muscles. At the same time, don’t forget to breathe. Maintain this position for a few breaths (20 to 30 seconds). Return to the original position. Repeat as necessary for your level of fitness.
