Drop the feed dogs on your Brother sewing machine, consulting your manual if necessary. Install the free-motion embroidery foot and thread your sewing machine. Set the stitch length to zero and your stitch width to a very narrow zig zag. Increase the tension slightly. Draw a monogram on your fabric with a disappearing fabric marker. Use a stencil or trace a printed letter or letters if you prefer. Spray tear away stabilizer with temporary adhesive spray. Secure the stabilizer to the wrong side of the practice fabric.
