With most standard fonts (on Windows based operating systems), creating an “upside-down question mark” is possible via alternative characters. • Hold the “Alt” key down, with preferably your left hand. • Press 1 then 6 then 8 on the number pad to the right of your keyboard (will not work with the horizontal row of keys at the top of your keyboard). Release the “Alt” key. • Press the “Start” button on the bottom left of your desktop. • Navigate from Programs > Accessories > System Tools > Character Map. • Click on Character Map. • Find the “upside-down question mark” symbol, and click on it. • Press the “Select” button. Press the “Copy” button beside the “Select” button. • Either • Press “ctrl” and “V” to paste your copied character onto whatever you want or • right click (will not work with some programs) and click on “Paste”.
