The chest press on a Swiss ball will develop strength and definition in the upper chest. The increased power will serve you well when you execute martial art techniques and punches. Lie with your head, neck and upper back on a Swiss ball. Place your feet flat on the floor with your knees bent and your rear end a few inches off the floor. Grip the dumbbells with your hands shoulder-width apart, just a few inches above the chest. Start with light weights, perhaps 10 pounds, and work your way up. Extend the hands straight up, directly above the collarbone. Do not lock the elbows at the top of the movement. Lower and repeat exercise. Do 8 to 12 reps for 3 sets.
