How Do You Do An Advanced Triangle Yoga Pose?
“CINDY MASTRY: Once you’ve mastered Trikonasana or triangle with the block next to your big toe, you can take this into a little more of an advance position by taking the block to the outside of your pinkie toe. So we’re going to ask Faith to demonstrate this for us. She’s going to step her feet three to four feet apart. Good. She’s going to turn her right toes to the side and her left heel back, keeping her hips square in alignment with her shoulders. She’s going to extend her arms out to the sides and she’s going to grab on to the block so she has it ready and available to place down by her pinkie toe. She’s going to inhale lengthen up through the crown of the head. As she exhales, reaching forward and coming all the way down as she tips her hips to the side, keeping length from the hip to her armpit and placing her block to the outside of the pinkie toe. It takes a little bit more flexibility. She’s getting a little bit more twist, a little bit more massage of the abdominal system.
