Most college papers are required to come with an accompanying page listing the cited works in the paper. MLA (Modern Language Association) is the format most associated with research papers, as this is the standard format of all liberal arts and humanities departments. Once you have all your references compiled, it is necessary to begin to put together your works-cited page to avoid any claims of plagiarism. Create a new page at the end of your paper. Head it as “Works Cited.” The page should be numbered as though it were the next page in your paper. (If your last page was page 10, “Works Cited” should be numbered 11.)
