One of the basic kicks in Taekwondo is the front kick, or the front snap kick. You perform the kick by snapping your kicking leg straight in front of you. The side front snap kick is a variation on the front snap kick that you perform in a side stance as opposed to a forward facing stance. Here is how to perform a side front snap kick in Taekwondo. Start with your body and feet facing sideways rotated away from your opponent. You perform the side front snap kick like a standard front snap kick, but facing away from your opponent slightly, which allows you to cover your body better and extend the reach of your kick, by twisting your hips forward. Protect your body with your hands. Place your front fist in front of you, no higher than your shoulder. You use this hand to protect your upper body and face. Keep your other hand in close to your body, to protect your chest. Lift your back leg while rotating your front leg outward. You will kick with your back leg, so lift your knee up to abou
