How Do You Do A Shooting Warm-Up In Soccer?
Soccer is often played in cold conditions, so warming up the muscles is critical to get them working to their full capacity. Participating in a shooting warm-up also allows each player to handle the ball many more times than they’re likely to do in the actual game. Create 2 lines of players and have them face each other. Each player will practice shooting to the player directly across from her. Give pair of players a soccer ball and coach them to shoot back and forth to each other. The player should drop the ball and kick it before it reaches the ground. The receiving player should catch the ball with his hands and do the same thing to get the ball back. Critique the technique of each player to make sure they’re shooting the ball using the laces of their cleats and listening for the sweet spot on the ball. Give feedback and praise as appropriate. Encourage the players to jog in place when they’re waiting to receive the ball. By doing so, they increase their ability to react to the ball
