How Do You Do A Proper Standing Barbell Curl?

0

I will teach you step by step how to do a proper standing barbell curl. The proper standing barbell curl isn’t too difficult to accomplish, but it may take time to perfect. Having someone there to spot you is important the first few times. And you should always have a spotter if you are increasing your weights. Always put your safety first and never try to lift more than you think you can handle. Make sure the weights are properly secured before you begin your session. Stand holding a barbell with both hands shoulder width apart, use an underhand grip and knees slightly bent. With the bar at arms length nearly touching your upper thighs, curl it up in a semi-circular motion until your forearms touch your biceps. Now lower your position in a semi-circular motion until the barbell nearly touches your upper thighs. Repeat step 1-3 for 3-10 reps.
