How Do You Do A Pilates Magic Circle Shoulder Exercise?

0

The Pilates magic circle is a round plastic devise that adds resistance to typical Pilates mat exercises. There are several types of circles available and each varies in how much resistance it provides. There is a great shoulder exercise you can do by sitting on the floor with the circle. If sitting on the floor is not an option, you can sit in a high chair and then place the circle on a low table next to you. While this exercise targets the deltoid muscle in the shoulder, it also requires you to sit with a straight spine to target and tone the abdominal muscles and improve posture. This exercise uses a movement similar to the side deltoid raise. Sit up straight on the floor with the legs crossed. You can also sit up straight in a chair. Place the magic circle to your right side on the floor (or on a low table if you are in a chair). If sitting on the floor and maintaining a straight spine is difficult, you can sit on a small pillow to raise your hips slightly higher then your knees. R
