Stand facing the woman about an arm’s length away. Place your right hand on the woman’s side just under her left arm. Your elbow should be slightly bent. Guide the woman’s left hand to your right arm where it meets your shoulder. Your elbow should be just underneath and touching her elbow. Take the woman’s right hand in your left and hold it shoulder-high. Keep tension in both arms to keep the distance between you and your partner constant.
