How Do You Do A Flap Heel Toe Turn In Tap Dancing?
When first learning to do the flap heel toe turn in tap dancing, one might think that it is too difficult. But it just takes time to absorb the steps and their order and get your feet doing what they’re supposed to be doing. Transforming the combination into a turn will be a bit challenging at first, but once you attempt it and succeed, you are going to be pleased because this is a very cool looking and sounding tap dance step and turn. Flap on your right foot (brush step). Drop heel (right). Toe tap with your left foot (to the back). Drop heel (right). Step (left). Slap (back brush step) on your right foot. Drop left heel. Think of the steps and their order: Flap heel toe heel step slap heel. Direct the flap to the right to start the turn. When you step down on your left foot in Step 5, you should be stepping to the right and your back should be to the front.
