How Do You Do A Basic Yoga Exercise?
Basic yoga poses are often very easy to do and can do wonders for your physical and mental well-being. To start out in yoga, it is best to attend a class, or follow the instructions in a yoga book or video. Having said that, some of the simpler poses are perfectly safe to do on your own if you are in decent physical health. I’ll take you through three of the simpler poses to help you get started. Simply lie face up on a yoga mat or folded blanket with your arms at your sides, palms up. Breathe deeply and try to quiet your mind. You do not have to force your mind into blankness, but if you notice thoughts popping up, bring your focus back to your breath or the ceiling fan above you.
