When it comes time to dispose of your old appliances, there are a few things you need to consider. Many states have rules and regulations regarding appliance disposal, especially items like refrigerators, which have coolants and other chemicals that could seep into ground water if not properly taken care of. Learn what to do with your used appliances here. Donate the ones that are in good working order. If you’re getting rid of an appliance simply because you want a different color or a newer model, your best bet is to give your old refrigerator or stove to someone who could really use it.
