In the old Thunderbird email client, the program that downloads email, the images were displayed as soon as they were downloaded. They did away with this feature in version 2. Now you get a message like this: “To protect your privacy, Thunderbird has blocked remote images in this message.” You have to click on each message button to see the images that come with it. It’s very annoying. One way to fix this is to add the address of the sender to your email address book. The problem with this is that you’ll fill up your address book with commercial email addresses. Terrible clutter. There is a better way to fix this problem in just a few steps. First open Thunderbird 2 email client and click on the “Tools” drop down menu, click on “Options” at the bottom of the menu. Second, in the pop up box that appears, go to the top right and click on the “Advanced” drop down menu. In the “General” tab you will see, at bottom right, a “Confg Edior…” button, click on it.
