Pay special attention to the seams of the top of the garment bag as these will receive the most stress while garments are hanging. Place clothes on the hanger. To test the garment bag’s durability and overall functionality, the clothes should be of substantial weight, such as a suit or winter coat. Open the bottom of the garment bag fully. The ribbons at the bottom should be untied in order to maximize the size of the opening. Slide the garment bag down over the top of the hanger and onto the clothes.
