How Do You Disinfect A High Chair?
It is very important to disinfect surfaces used for food preparation and serving before and after using them. This rule applies to high chairs as well. Children are not likely to keep their food on their plates, and you don’t want a child eating food off a dirty high chair tray. Wipe all food debris and dirt off the high chair tray and seat with a clean wet rag. A disinfectant cannot eliminate all germs if you leave the dirt and debris that harbor them. Mix a solution of 1 tbsp. bleach with 1 qt. of water and put it in a clearly marked spray bottle. Spray all plastic surfaces with the bleach solution and wipe the surface with a paper towel to get the disinfectant distributed evenly. Alternatively, you can use an aerosol spray disinfectant. Allow the disinfectant to dry thoroughly. Wash the high chair cover if it is not safe to spray bleach or other disinfectant directly on it.
