How Do You Disconnect A Shower Drain?
A clogged shower drain can cause you to swim in your shower instead of enjoying a comfortable cleaning. Everything from dirt, hair and debris swirl down into the drain and clog it, causing water to build up. Removing all that debris is a must if you want your shower drain back to normal, but first you have to get that stubborn shower drain head off. Allow water to completely drain if it already hasn’t. If the drain is clogged too much to let the water drain, then you are going to have to work like a deep sea diver. Remove the top cover by unscrewing it with your hands in a counterclockwise direction. Set this aside when it is completely off. Insert your screwdriver into the drain, lining up the flat head with the groove in the shower drain. Twist this in a counter-clockwise direction and remove. That is all there is to it. Shower drains vary in style, but all of them are generally done the same way.
