After owning a Sony Vaio computer for a few years, you may find that you want to upgrade, repair or replace some of its components or add some extra memory modules so you can use the latest software programs. You will need to know how to disassemble and open the computer case in order to add any extra parts or replace old ones. Unlike many other cases, the Sony Vaio’s does not require a screwdriver and does not use any screws, which makes it easy to open the case and replace any components. Unplug the main power cable from the power supply on the back of the Sony Vaio case. Remove all of the extra cables that are connected to the back of the case for your keyboard, mouse, monitor, speakers and printer before you open the tower. Place the Sony Vaio computer tower on its side on a flat and stable surface, such as a table or work bench. Leave the left side of the computer facing up toward you.
