This guide will work with both the 9mm and 40 S&W caliber pistols. This weapon is very similar to the GLOCK brand pistols. Drop the magazine, pull the slide back and visually inspect the gun to ensure that it is unloaded. Once you have ensured that the pistol is unloaded, point the gun in a safe direction and pull the trigger. Grab the gun by the frame and slide, and pull slide slightly with your index finger and middle finger, at the same time depress the take-down catch with the opposite index finger and thumb. Push frame forward with your right hand until frame and slide are separated. Now you can pull out the recoil spring, guide rod assembly, and barrel from the firearm. Your gun is now disassemble, in-order to reassemble firearm, reverse directions.
