How Do You Disassemble A Kenmore 90 Series Washing Machine?
Familiarize yourself with your washing machine and schedule regular maintenance for the machine at the suggested times. Caring for your Kenmore will help to prolong the life of your machine and help to keep energy bills down. Unplug the washing machine and move it away from the wall. Use a Phillips screw driver and remove the two screws at the bottom of the timer console (this will be on the faceplate of the top back of the machine). Pull the console up and over the top of the washing machine, allowing it to rest on its hinges. Unplug the wire harness. This is a group of wires that will be attached to the top of the cabinet. Unplug the harness at the base of the top of the dryer. Locate the spring clips on each side of the washer. Push on the spring clips with a putty knife, releasing them. Grab the dryer on each side and pull the top of the cabinet towards you lifting off the ground, slightly in the back. Pull straight back and the cabinet will slip back.
