How Do You Disassemble A Compaq Laptop?
Disassembling a Compaq laptop computer is a very complex process, as there are many parts and components to the computer that must be removed one by one. This should only be done by an expert who knows everything about the laptop and why it must be disassembled. Also, Compaq changes the location of each component within the laptop with each new model. Look over the manual for your Compaq laptop and know the exact location of each part. Disconnect all power sources from the laptop to avoid electric shock. Detach the power cord and remove the battery. Flip the laptop upside down. Unscrew and remove all covers on the bottom. This should include the covers for the hard drive and the memory. Remove the memory module from the laptop. Remove the hard drive from inside the computer. It should have a sticker on it explaining how to remove it.
