How Do You Disable Windows XPs Firewall?
With the introduction of Service Pack 2 (SP2) in 2004, Microsoft improved Windows XP’s “Internet Connection Firewall,” renamed it “Windows Firewall,” and expanded its configuration options. However, computer security experts soon determined that it had two significant security holes. It could not block outbound traffic and it could be switched off by other applications. Many savvy users have turned to third-party firewalls as a consequence. To do so, you must disable Windows Firewall. Click on “Start” and then “Control Panel.” Click on the “Security Center” icon.
