How Do You Disable Activex Controls In Internet Explorer?
ActiveX controls on Internet Explorer are browser programs that govern how a program should share information on your browser. By default, Internet Explorer downloads and executes them. Although ActiveX controls are beneficial for download programs, hackers and attackers also use them to install malicious programs secretly on your computer. Because of this security problem, you can disable ActiveX controls any time you want. Launch Internet Explorer, and click the “Tools” menu. Scroll down and click “Internet Options.” Click the “Security” tab, and click the “Custom Level” button to launch the “Security Settings” window. Scroll down the window to the “ActiveX Controls and Plugins” category. Select “Disable” under each option in the “ActiveX Controls and Plugins” category. Click “OK” to save the changes, and click “OK” again to close the browser properties. Close and restart your web browser.
