How do you determine which item to buy an Mp3 player or an Ipod?

If you have been using iTunes and buying songs from them that you plan to put on your player, get an iPod (any). If you have not bought anything, you may want to ditch iTunes, buy the Sansa and use Napster, Rhapsody or one of the non-Apple options to get your music. If, on the third hand, you do not have any music and simply want to rip tracks from your existing CD collection, you can accomplish this with an iPod (with iTunes) OR a Sansa (with Napster/Rhapsody/other). I have owned about 10 different MP3 players before finally making the switch to a Video iPod about 2 years ago. If you plan to buy downloaded music, it is one of, if not the most, convenient way to go and iTunes itself is not bad to work with if you want to rip your own music. Sorry, I don’t have much experience with the Sansa, but my son had one for a short while and it didn’t give him any problems.
