How Do You Determine Shooters Eye Dominance?
Everyone has a dominant eye. Determining your dominant eye before you start the new sport of shooting can save lots of frustration and aggravation. A Right-handed person usually is Right-eye dominant. In some cases a Right-handed person can be Left-eye dominant and this can affect ones shooting. Here is a simple exercise to determine your dominant eye. Select a distant object which is at least 10 feet away from you. Both eyes open, focus on the object and extend both your arms towards the object. Palms should be upright as if you are pushing against the wall Turn your wrists so your fingers are now facing towards each other. Bring your hands closer enclosing the object till you can see the object in the opening of your hands Close your LEFT eye – If you can still see the object – you are RIGHT EYE DOMINANT.
