A mathematical formula that relates a person’s height to his or her weight, it has come to be a very useful tool in the pursuit of a healthy body. You will need both your weight and height measurements in inches and pounds. First, weigh yourself on the scale and record the weight. Next, stand against a wall with your heels touching the wall. Use a straight edge to mark your height on the wall behind you in pencil (it may be helpful to have someone help you do this). Measure the length from floor to mark with the tape measure. Record the height in inches. Multiply your height by itself and record the answer. Then divide your weight in pounds by this new “height squared” answer. Then multiply this answer by 703 (a standard number used for all equations). The result is your BMI. For example, if y
