How do you determine abutment angulation on a laboratory model?
If the model has Spline implant analogs, you can put the narrow tapered end of a 15° or 25° Parallel pin (Cat. Nos. 0483 – 15° and 0484 – 25°) into the implant body analog. This will indicate the angle correction you need. Parallel pins (Cat. Nos. 1230, 1231, 1233 will not fit into an implant body analog) Sulzer also has available the ERA Correct angle Selection Post Kits (Cat. No. 2457). It has trial posts at 5°, 11°, and 17° that fit Spline and Taper-Lock implants. For other Zimmer Dental Implants, the use of a protractor can assist in determining the angle needed for parallelism.
