As children learn language, they often have charming ways of using words and may pronounce sounds in ‘incorrect ways’ when they are very young. This is normal. Most children grow out of the appealing ‘mistakes’ such as using ‘w’ instead of ‘r’. that’s why ‘weeboks’ is a cute term for Reeboks. And all children learn and develop in their own ways, which is fine too. But there are also children who develop some difficulties in speech production which may well need special attention. I am not a speech therapist, but I have some points of information to share.
