After a long winter in storage you might find that your summer beach chairs have fallen victim to mildew. Here’s how to remove the mildew and get your beach chairs back into shape. Assuming that your beach chairs are made out of a durable, water-resistant fabric or mesh, you should be able to clean them off with a pressure washer. Place your beach chair on the ground, as flat as possible. Stand above the chair and use the pressure washer to wash the mildew off of the fabric. If you don’t have a pressure washer at home, you can take the chairs to a “touchless” car wash and wash them there. Just use clean, fresh water rather than soapy water. Once you’ve washed your chairs as best you can with the pressure washer, check to see if there’s any visible mildew left. If there is, use mild soap and a scrub brush to clean the remaining mildew off. Once your chairs are visibly clean, spray them throughly with Lysol (aerosol disinfectant).
