Flowers add beauty, color and texture to any space. You can create a living sculpture by designing your flower arrangement with some planning. Different flower arrangements draw attention to different aspects of your flowers. Choose a vertical flower arrangement to showcase long, focal flowers. Choose a tall vase to place your flower arrangement in. Since the focus of this flower arrangement is height rather than width, your vase needs to be wide enough to add only a few surrounding flowers to your focal plant. Cut a piece of florist’s foam just wide enough to fit inside your vase. Place the foam in the bottom of the vase. Select the focal point of your arrangement.
