Sometimes it can be difficult to find shower curtains that work with your bathroom decor. You can search every store in town, and still find nothing that will work. Designing your own shower curtains from fabric is an easy, fulfilling task that should take no more than two hours, maximum. Measure the height and width of your shower stall or bathtub. Mark down these measurements on paper. Add 6 inches to the height measurement, and 2 inches to the width measurement. This is an approximation of how much fabric you need. Choose the fabric you would like to use, keeping in mind your measurements. Cut your fabric to the specified measurements. Cut additional pieces of fabric, making sure that any patterns match up, if your fabric does not meet your specified height or width requirements. Sew these pieces together so that you have one piece of fabric with a continuous pattern. Decide which end of the fabric is to be the top of the curtain. Fold the top end over 3 inches.
